On April 25, 2013 GACC California hosted an informal dinner at its offices in honor of Shabir Ahmad from Afghanistan as well as Muhammad Usman Khan and Muhammad Esa from Pakistan. These visitors are invited to the United States under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State. San Diego was one stop of their several-week long trip. GACC California staff member got great insights on the visitors’ projects in their home countries as well as the difficult challenges which their nations face. Upon his return to Afghanistan Mr. Ahmad will continue his work at International Legal Foundation of Afghanistan. Mr. Muhammad Usman Khan, who serves as Deputy General Secretary of the non-profit Al-Khidmat Foundation, will continue to work restlessly on desaster relief and on creating awareness of the challenges which his nation faces, just as Muhammad Esa, a District Correspondent for Geo News, The News International, and Daily Jang, (Urdu).
